In his words " Shenbaga Vilasam is a place where we want to portray our culture & tradition in the real sense to the visitor, one is made to feel at home here and yet experience everything that is south Indian.

A visual treat for the visitor. Floral chettinad tiles in combination with the pillars, carved teak frames, living room filled with antique furniture and figurines, dining area with timber ceiling, hand picked armoires, rooms with flaunt antique beds.
Enjoy a walk in the mornings when many spot peacocks along the walk into the farms. Guests can walk or have a ride in a bullock cart through the narrow lanes of the village of Samathur; one can stop to visit a craftsman's home or a village temple or just to catch some village small talk. Unique Experience: Farm house
Shenbaga Vilasam is decorated with family heirlooms and the antique collectibles that the family has acquired over the years. It is indeed a visual treat for the visitor. The four rooms at Shenbaga Vilasam, named after the women of the household, - Manickam, Maruthapusham, Radhamani, Jaya. Each room has been designed with comfort in mind.
Shenbaga vilasam, is nested in the midst of hundreds of acres of farmland where even Today active farming is practiced. The beautiful mountains act as a magnificent backdrop And the coconut plantations here and there add to the beauty. The farm that surrounds the House also has many cows. Some of the daily needs of the kitchen are indeed procured Internally.

Sandhai is a village market and it is a time when the actual producer of many things comes in contact with the ultimate consumer without any Middlemen. It is held on a particular day of the week in certain locations. A visit to this market place is suggested as one truly experiences the real Indian in her exotic best.
